VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist a young boy who was injured in a vehicle-pedestrian accident on Saturday afternoon, March 29, 2025, in Victorville.

The child was struck by a blue Tesla while riding his scooter at approximately 4:04 p.m. near Elliot Way and Caliente Road.

According to initial reports, the young boy was riding his scooter in the middle of the street when he was struck by the Tesla. The impact resulted in the child suffering severe head injuries, and he was found bleeding from the head at the scene.

Emergency personnel quickly arrived to find the scooter lodged under the front of the vehicle, with a large hole visible in the Tesla’s windshield.

Given the nature of the child’s injuries, the Victorville Fire Department requested an airlift to transport him to the hospital. A landing zone was established at Mesa Linda Park, where the child was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Tesla remained on the scene and cooperated with the authorities. The details of the accident are still under investigation by the Victorville Police Department, and authorities are working to piece together the events leading up to the collision.

As the child, identified as Emiliano, begins his long recovery, his family has set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the mounting medical expenses.

The fundraiser, titled “Support Nephew’s Long Road to Recovery”, was created by Miyah Tinsman, Emiliano’s aunt, to assist his parents during this difficult time.

Tinsman wrote on the GoFundMe page. “He has suffered severe injuries and is now facing a long and difficult road to recovery.”

Tinsman is asking for any support, whether large or small, to help ease the burden on Emiliano’s family during this challenging time.

“With countless medical procedures ahead, he will need essential equipment like a wheelchair, a hospital bed, and much more to aid in his healing,” Tinsman continued. “We are asking for any help—no matter how big or small—to ensure he gets the care and support he needs. This journey will not be easy, but with your generosity, we can help make it a little less difficult for him and his family.”

Emiliano’s mom, Sierra, told VVNG her son suffered two skull injuries, multiple broken bones on the right side of his face (cheekbone, eye socket, and side of his nose bone), along with two broken legs, and a tibia. According to Sierra, he’s had two surgeries and is doing great in his recovery.

The family expressed their deep gratitude for the support and prayers from the community, emphasizing how much every donation and share means to them.
